Current music is not as poor as we use to think. Sometimes surprises appears, and it's a great pleasure to enjoy.
Black Mountain is here again with a second LP, three years after their first eponym which was already amazing.
This time
In the Future is really impressive and completed.
We fall in a
psychedelic world of multicolors flowers planted in your head (
Druganaut extended ), it sounds like
The Mama's & The Papa's or
Jefferson Airplane, where Amber Webber reminds us the perfection of
Grace Slick, and the guys the intensity of a
Led Zeppelin or
Black Sabbath instrumental parts (
Stormy High ).
A plenty of influences: for example in
Tyrants, there's the same flute like in
Stairway to Heaven, but 30 seconds after the voice of Amber reminds
Devendra Banhart, and the guitar is heavy like a
Page part. All is perfectly logical, it breathes.
For a perfect listening and enjoying of
In the Future, you have to take a long break in your room, drinking tea and smoking with your friends. Don't listen one track, just listen all on the bounce, because of the coherency of them.

Sure it's the best surprise and the best LP of the year.
Oh Guys, what a band, what a music, what a trip, don't wait to try Black Mountain.
